The movie follows a quiet man named Adam Clay who lives in a peaceful suburb. He spends his days keeping bees and enjoys renting a small barn from a kind elderly woman named Mrs. Parker. They share a deep bond of friendship, and she treats him like family. Clay keeps his past completely hidden, and nobody around him knows that he used to be a highly dangerous special operative for a secret program known as the "Beekeepers".
The peace shatters when a group of ruthless cybercriminals traps Mrs. Parker in a fake tech support scam. Using dirty psychological tricks, they steal every single dollar from her personal savings and the charity accounts she manages. Unable to bear the shock and pain of losing everything, she takes her own life. When Clay discovers her body and realizes that the local police and FBI are helpless against these invisible internet thieves, he decides to step in.
Clay uses his old military contacts to track down the data center responsible for the scam. He walks right into their high-tech office and completely burns it down, warning them that he is here to protect the weak. This violent move alarms the wealthy young boss running the operation, Derek Danforth, who uses his massive family influence and private security forces to protect his business. Soon, Clay finds himself fighting armies of security guards, federal agents, and even current active assets.
As Clay digs deeper, he discovers that the scam money is funding heavy political campaigns reaching all the way to the President. Even with the entire country's security system protecting his targets, Clay refuses to turn back.
